With the success of the Agency Power T3/T4 EVO Turbo Kit since 2003, Agency Power has taken horsepower to a new level with its GT30R and GT35R kit for the Mitsubishi EVO VIII and IX vehicles. Designed for serious racers or those wanting ultimate power on the street, this kit yields nearly 30psi of boost with appropriate mods and makes almost 720 Crank Horsepower!

Why is this kit better then the competition? Well first Agency Power uses extremely high quality 321 stainless steel piping for all its components. Piping is all polished and TIG welded for flawless finish. The kit has been fitted and jigged on the EVO 4G63 motor in and outside the car to ensure its precise fitment. We use genuine Garrett ball bearing turbo’s to our specs ensuring quick spool and great horsepower and torque curves. As well the kit has been dyno tested on a Mustang AWD dyno with numerous cars to ensure its capacity. We have even tested and tuned it on the road course of Phoenix International Raceway.

The kit includes all parts necessary for a bolt on kit. This includes a Tial 38mm wastegate, GT30R or GT35R ball bearing turbo, header, down tube, wastegate dump pipe, intercooler adapter pipe, turbo inlet hose, steel braided oil lines, new clamps, high quality AP silicone hose adapters, K&N high flow cone air filter, and all necessary fittings and hardware.

We suggest having appropriate computer tuning, fuel components, upgraded intercooler, camshafts, head studs, and exhaust parts for maximum performance.

Damn, check out this turbo kit. It’s for a C4 Corvette, L98, and it looks completely bad-ass!

It’s made to run 8.3 PSI, and with such a big motor, it’s probably going to hold that boost to redline.

Check out the pic…. looks like the turbo sits in the fender? That’s kind of strange… if so, it’s probably a sleeper!

Turbo Specialties R18 Extreme Turbo Kit

I just got word of a new turbo kit for the Non Si 8th gen civic. This is for the R18 motor.

Turbo Specialties R18 Extreme Turbo Kit Description
The R18 Extreme Turbo Kit from Turbo Specialties (TSI) is designed to take your 2006+ Civic DX/LX/EX coupe or sedan to a whole new level of power. This turbo kit provides more than enough power for even the most demanding customers, but is also tuned with the daily driver in mind. The installation is a completely bolt on and will work with stock engine internals. This turbo kit also features a GT25 Garrett turbo, which is extremely reliable and provides fast spool-up and great performance for the R18 engine.

The R18 Extreme Turbo Kit uses the new AEM F/IC unit for fuel management and was tuned by one of nation’s best: Shawn Church from Church Automotive. Using a stock exhaust, the R18 kit makes about 187 whp @ 6-7 PSI of boost. This translates to about 205 hp at the flywheel, compared to 140 flywheel hp for a stock R18 Civic. With a bigger exhaust, you can expect about 200 whp, or about 220 flywheel hp, which is over a 50% increase from stock! What’s more impressive are the torque figures: 192 lb-ft of torque as early as 3000 RPM. For the whole picture, check out the official Dyno Results. With this much power and torque, you should be able to blow past a Civic Si without a problem. In fact, TSI’s street tests showed that the R18 Turbo Civic was only a bit slower than a 2003 BMW M3 with exhaust and performance chip!

Key Features:
About a 50% gain in horsepower! Combined with an exhaust, you should get close to 220 flywheel horsepower on your 2006+ Civic DX/LX/EX. See the Dyno Results (with stock exhaust).

The AEM F/IC unit comes pre-tuned to work right out of the box, but you may find that some minor tuning adjustments are necessary depending on your local conditions.

Eventhough this kit comes pre-tuned, we recommend getting it RE-TUNED FOR YOUR SPECIFIC CONDITIONS IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE VEHICLE STALLING. This is because the R18 Civic is fairly sensitive to elevation changes. SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A GOOD TUNER IN YOUR AREA THAT CAN WORK WITH THE F/IC UNIT IF NECESSARY.

Please also read the other notes that appear below. They cover some important topics and you should read all the information before purchasing this kit.

Automatic Transmission Civics: Although the parts should fit just fine on an 2006+ Civic DX/LX/EX with an automatic transmission, the kit has not officially been tuned or tested with this setup. We expect some minor dyno tuning would be necessary because of the different shift points. The power output should be roughly the same.

Check Engine Light (CEL) Notes: To provide the best performance gains, the turbo manifold and piping on this kit is designed to replaces your stock catalytic converter. This will cause a CEL to be thrown by your ECU, because it detects that you removed your catalytic converter. This particular CEL causes no performance or reliability problems for the vehicle. If you really want to get rid of it, we recommend purchasing this O2 Sensor CEL Eliminator for your secondary o2 sensor. From our experience, it will stop the CEL in most all cases. It is also possible to install a universal catalytic converter underneath the vehicle without much work (you just need a muffler shop to do some minor cutting/welding and then relocate your secondary o2 sensor).

Optional Parts: We HIGHLY recommend getting the plug and play harness because it shaves about 3-4 hours off the installation time and eliminates any chance of wiring errors. If you don’t get the plug and play harness, please be CAREFUL WHEN WIRING the AEM F/IC. Just like any other electronic device, you can damage it if it is done wrong! We also suggest getting at least some sort of boost gauge so you know if your boost level is on target or not. Lastly, you may also want to purchase a turbo timer as a convenience feature. If you do not purchase one, then you should let your car idle for about 2 minutes before shutting it off after a normal driving period.

Other Recommendations: As with all turbo kits, we also advise running premium fuel (91 Octane or better) and purchasing a set of 1 step colder spark plugs (Denso Iridiums perform the best).

Looks like people are selling it for about $2900. Anyone tried this turbo kit yet?
