i have a turbo scion xa i just got new injectors for it they are 440cc. my problem is that turbo only marking 5psi on the boost gauge and the turbo is adjusted all the way up to 12psi, around 4500rpms it wants to die out and smells like gas. so im wondering what's wrong cause i dont work on cars except oil changes and put in spark plugs LOL so can this be a boost leak, or my injectors to big, or could it be a exhaust leake. Or do think my spark plugs are shot i also heard it might be the BOV could that be tru. Any help wood be nice thanks
What do you mean the turbo is adjusted all the way to 12psi? Is it set on the boost controller?
You might have an intake leak if the boost controller is set higher. With an intake leak, you could very easily be spinning the turbo at 12psi, but only 5psi makes it to the intake manifold, and you're shooting enough fuel for 12 psi, causing you to run rich.
